Job summary

Haverhill Behavioral Heath is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our Business Developer team and expand our inpatient referral program while building and opening the outpatient department. This onsite role is based in Haverhill, Massachusetts and offers opportunities to shape strategy and growth across service lines.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in healthcare business development, supervisory experience, and a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years’ related healthcare business development experience.
• One or more years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians and management, and educate staff to generate referral sources.
• Sell service line attributes, processes and outcomes to consumer, physician and market groups to support revenue goals.
• Collaborate with facility and division leaders to evaluate market utilization data for service lines.
• Build strong relationships with admissions/intake and develop an internal/external marketing plan to increase revenues and profits.
• Ensure referral priorities align with organizational vision and strategy.
• Document all activity in Salesforce and prepare regular reports on trends and opportunities.
• Develop retention strategies for facility services and execute referrals effectively.
• Provide staff management including hiring, development, training and performance management.
