Job summary

Universal Health Services' HRI Hospital in Brookline, MA seeks a Director of Business Development to lead all sales, marketing, and customer service activities across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities include developing strategic marketing plans, mentoring account managers, analyzing referrals and market data, and building high-value referral relationships while overseeing media relations and community outreach. A Bachelor's in marketing/business and healthcare BD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required; MBA or related field preferred
• Experience: Three (3) years of healthcare business development experience required; Five (5) years experience preferred. Experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred. Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred
• License: Valid Driver’s License is required. Reliable & insured personal vehicle is required.
• Skills & Knowledge: Leadership in healthcare marketing/business development; Account management and sales training expertise; Strong data analysis and strategic planning skills; Budget development and management; Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment; Social media and public relations strategy; Superior written/oral communication and public speaking; Ability to manage payer negotiations and contracts; Proven track of successful work in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary facility; Business Acumen (Preferred); Financial Acumen (Preferred); Basic Knowledge of insurance (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic marketing and business development plans
• Supervise and mentor account managers and business development staff
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, referral trends, and market data
• Maintain high-value referral relationships and conduct personal outreach
• Oversee media relations and community outreach activities
• Prepare reports, including monthly operating and budget reports
• Conduct in-service training for staff development
