Qualifications

• Healthcare front desk or medical office experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR systems and accurate documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in and check-out in EPIC with accuracy and efficiency.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information; collect co-payments and provide receipts.
• Screen patients for required pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals; explain financial policies as needed.
• Assist patients on arrival by answering questions, ensuring paperwork is complete, and directing to appropriate clinical areas.
• Support physicians and nurses by processing appointment paperwork and facilitating patient flow.
• Answer, screen, and route calls from patients, providers, internal departments, and external partners for timely communication.
• Complete scheduling tasks; arrange appointments per clinical and operational needs.
• Document all relevant patient information in EPIC for clear communication within the clinical team.
• Reconcile daily payments, balance cash drawer, and close financial activities at each shift end.
• Maintain a welcoming front desk by adhering to safety procedures and delivering excellent customer service.
