Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Financial Assistance Representative to screen uninsured or underinsured patients for NJ Medicaid, Charity Care, and Get Covered NJ Marketplace. Role requires completing applications in person or by phone, processing Presumptive Eligibility, and following up to enroll in NJ Family Care.

Position is onsite with travel between south/central NJ facilities; hours are 7:00am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with workflow/work queue systems, Patient Management system, document Imaging, PDF creators, Microsoft Office/Google.
• Uses customer service skills to increase patient satisfaction.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong, clear written and verbal communications.
• Attention to detail.
• Willing to travel to other HMH sites within the region.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients with no insurance or under insured for NJ Medicaid, NJ Charity Care or Get Covered NJ.
• Assist in completing applications face to face or by phone.
• Process Presumptive Eligibility Medicaid and follow up to enroll in NJ Family Care.
• Review all supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide timely updates to ensure successful reimbursement.
