Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Financial Coordinator in Roanoke, VA. You will supervise the business office, prepare reports, and oversee billing to Medicaid, Medicare, and other payers. Manage accounts receivable, cash and petty cash, and oversee staff.

You’ll assist admissions with rate explanations and payment terms while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant long-term care experience.
• 3 years of related experience.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience; office management preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; able to navigate internet/intranet.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate business office functions.
• Prepare and submit reports to Administrator and agencies.
• Bill Medicaid, Medicare and other insurances; follow up on delinquent payments.
• Manage accounts receivable and reconcile facility cash and accounts.
• Maintain patient trust funds and petty cash; monthly reconciliations.
• Support admissions with rate explanations and payment terms.
• Supervise clerical staff and handle special projects.
