Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance on building systems and assets, ensuring a safe, reliable healthcare environment for patients and staff.

You will work under Plant Engineering leadership, maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and grounds systems, use a range of hand and power tools, and respond to service requests with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar environment.
• Basic understanding of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
• Familiarity with Fire Alarm Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain structures, HVAC, mechanical and utility systems.
• Support a safe, compliant healthcare environment.
• Use hand and power tools to complete work safely.
• Respond to service requests and preventive maintenance promptly.
• Follow safety practices, building codes, and Environment of Care standards.
• Interact with patients, visitors, and team members.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineering leadership and other departments.
