Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee hospital campus and off-site properties. You will coordinate maintenance, ensure safe operations, and lead a team of technicians and contractors to keep systems running reliably.

The role requires an associate degree and 3+ years in healthcare facilities maintenance, with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and CMMS.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field.
Valid driver’s license.
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).
Minimum three years' experience in healthcare facilities maintenance, building operations, engineering, construction, or related field.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, utility systems, and building automation systems.
Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

Coordinate maintenance, repair, and improvement activities for UMMH-owned and leased facilities.
Review daily work order activities through CMMS for prioritization, assignment, monitoring, and closure.
Monitor maintenance performance metrics and develop recommendations to improve service delivery.
Coordinate and supervise maintenance personnel and contracted service providers to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with codes and project specs.
Perform routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and building systems to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
