Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Facilities Management professional to lead maintenance operations across campuses and off-site properties. You will coordinate repair activities, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure safe, compliant facility operations.

The role requires an associate degree, three years in healthcare facilities, and CMMS proficiency. A signing bonus may be available; weekly hours are 40 in a day shift.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum three years' experience in healthcare facilities maintenance, building operations, engineering, construction, or related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, utility systems, and building automation systems.
• Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating maintenance, repair, and improvement activities for UMMH-owned and leased facilities, ensuring buildings, grounds, and infrastructure are maintained in a safe, reliable, and operational condition.
• Checks daily work order activities through the CMMS for prioritization, assignment, monitoring, and closure of corrective, preventive, and demand maintenance activities.
• Monitors work order and preventive maintenance performance metrics and develops recommendations to improve service delivery, staff productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates and supervises maintenance personnel and contracted service providers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Performs routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and building systems to identify deficiencies, equipment failures, safety concerns, and opportunities for operational improvements.
