Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an experienced planner to align the regional facilities master plan with evolving strategies and standards. You will advise leadership on best practices in healthcare facility design and support site-specific planning aligned with real estate and capital plans.

You will partner with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure safe designs, supervise design service procurement, and contribute to standardization of space usage and functionality across the network.

Qualifications

10–15 years in healthcare planning or related field.
Strong computer skills: MS Office, AutoCAD, REVIT.
Prefer Bachelor’s in architecture or Interior Design.
PA Architecture Licensure required.
Additional skills: Sketchup, Newforma, dRofus are assets.
Experience with Alternate Project Delivery methodology and IPD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations; develop and implement policies; may have budget responsibility.
(30%) Develop and maintain space programs with AHN leadership.
(20%) Develop scope of work documents, space programs and preliminary test fits.
(20%) Support Real estate team in feasibility studies, consolidations and business agreements.
(10%) Analyze internal project goals and develop architectural concepts/solutions.
(10%) Maintain and develop space planning standards.
(5%) Maintain internal architectural specs and standard project deliverables.
(5%) Other duties as assigned.
