Allegheny Health Network seeks an experienced planner to align the regional facilities master plan with evolving strategies and standards. You will advise leadership on best practices in healthcare facility design and support site-specific planning aligned with real estate and capital plans.
You will partner with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure safe designs, supervise design service procurement, and contribute to standardization of space usage and functionality across the network.

This position ensures the alignment between AHN’s evolving strategic master plan and its facilities plans and standards. Advises network leadership on evolving best practices in healthcare facility design and development trends for efficient care delivery. Supports regional managers with the development of site-specific plans, including alignment with the network facilities master plan, real estate strategy, and capital plan. Actively partners with internal regulatory and compliance leaders to ensure safe and compliant facility designs. Acts as AHN’s liaison to jurisdictional authorities, such as regulatory agencies, permitting authorities, etc. Supervises and informs the process of procuring design services and acts as an internal consultant for matters relating to architectural and engineering design standards, processes, and agreements. Supports the development and maintenance of network design standards, especially relative to optimizing space use and functionality.
