Job summary

Heart to Heart Hospice in Seattle, WA seeks an Executive Director to lead agency operations and drive strategic planning, budgeting and compliance to ensure high-quality hospice care.

The ideal candidate will hold a clinical or administrative license, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 3 years of healthcare operations leadership experience. Strong oversight, communication and executive presence are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional (physician, RN, social worker, therapist, or nursing home administrator) with management experience in a health setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; knowledge in hospice/healthcare operations and sales management.
• At least 3 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership; hospice preferred.
• Ability to supervise and direct management personnel.
• Understanding of business processes and systems in healthcare.
• Experience implementing standard practices across organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
• Knowledge of Medicare Hospice Benefit preferred.
• Experience with EMR/CRM software is a plus.
• Current State Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct Agency's ongoing functions, including planning, budgeting and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ensure interdisciplinary care is provided while ethical practice is maintained.
• Direct staff in admissions, discharges, transfers and provision of services.
• Hire qualified personnel and ensure staff education and evaluation.
• Ensure supervision during service hours and provide staff support.
• Maintain knowledge of community service systems and ensure services are approved by the hospice.
• Ensure agency operates in compliance with federal and state law.
• Manage conflict and complaint resolution.
• Implement budgeting and accounting systems promoting patient safety and financial stability.
• Evaluate programs, services and personnel.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations and personnel policies.
