Job summary

WMCH Weirton Medical Center is seeking a dedicated environmental services worker to perform routine cleaning duties in patient care areas and support spaces. You will disinfect and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, lounges and exam areas while maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to work a 40-hour day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains hard surface floors by mopping and carpeted areas with assigned equipment.
• Replenishes supplies and keeps restrooms stocked with paper supplies.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, infectious waste and recycling properly.
• Cleans and disinfects patient and non-patient areas following procedures.
• Sanitizes patient bathrooms, public rest rooms, lounges, and exam rooms.
• Assists with disaster and evacuation plans and training on new supplies and equipment.
