Job summary

WMCH Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia is seeking an environmental services associate to clean and sanitize patient areas, restrooms, lobbies, and non-patient spaces. You will follow established procedures, move furniture as needed, restock supplies, and participate in disaster drills to ensure a safe, orderly hospital environment.

A high school diploma is required, with a 40-hour work week and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written work assignments.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with guests.
• Willingness to be scheduled based on hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all hard surface floors via mopping as required.
• Maintains carpeted surfaces using assigned equipment.
• Move furniture with proper equipment and help as assigned.
• Replenishes supplies and stocks restrooms.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, infectious waste and recycling properly.
• Cleans and disinfects in patient and non-patient areas.
• Sanitizes patient bathrooms, public rest rooms, employee lounges, and exam rooms.
• Participates in disaster and emergency evacuation plans as directed.
• May provide housekeeping services at off site locations.
