Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to maintain patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas and toilets in a clean, orderly condition.

You will follow established cleaning procedures, restock supplies, move equipment, and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor while upholding safety and sanitation standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with a 40-hour work week and a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have physical ability for cleaning tasks and PPE use.
• Must meet department safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures areas are cleaned and in good repair; report issues.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets and offices per procedures.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Makes beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintains assigned equipment in clean, working condition; reports problems.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Completes annual education related to specialty accreditation.
