Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services worker to maintain clean and orderly patient areas, offices and public spaces. Responsibilities include cleaning, trash removal, restocking supplies, bed making, and equipment maintenance in a hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to read work orders, and adherence to safety protocols. This is a 40-hour/week, non-exempt position within WVU Health System facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow written work assignments.
• Willingness to perform cleaning tasks and adhere to safety regulations.
• Capable of working around hospital environments and heavy cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures areas are cleaned and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
• Makes beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintains equipment in clean, working condition and reports issues.
