Job summary

WMCH Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV is seeking a full-time Afternoon Housekeeper to perform routine cleaning in patient care areas, offices, and lounges to maintain a safe, healthy environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include floor care, disinfection of bathrooms and patient rooms, restocking supplies, waste management, and assisting with moving furniture as needed; ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work with cleaning chemicals is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all hard surface floors via mopping as required.
• Maintains all carpeted surfaces using assigned equipment.
• Move furniture with proper equipment and help as assigned.
• Replenishes supplies as assigned. Keeps patient restrooms stocked with paper supplies.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, infectious waste and recycling items properly.
• Cleans and disinfects according to specified cleaning procedures in patient and non-patient areas.
• Sanitizes patient bathrooms, public rest rooms, employee lounges, and exam rooms.
• Verifies that all electrical equipment in the patient care area is in working condition; initiates work order.
