Job summary

Crothall Healthcare in Texas seeks an Assistant Director to support the Director of Environmental Services, leading the Housekeeping Department. You will coordinate Operations Managers’ tasks and serve as liaison between administration and hospital departments to deliver high-quality service.

Key duties include setting standards, scheduling, hiring, training, inspections, coordinating with other departments, budgeting support, and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff with a participative approach, stay organized under stress, and develop budgets.

Responsibilities

• Sets standards and procedures for all housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules and duties to ensure coverage.
• Interviews and hires housekeeping personnel per facility standards.
• Orients, trains, and supervises staff.
• Conducts regular inspections and recommends action items.
• Coordinates with other departments to align housekeeping activities.
• Schedules major projects and ensures staff and supplies are available.
• Performs inventory of supplies and assists with budgets.
