Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking an Educator Coordinator to support Patient Access Services through training and staff development. You will lead education programs, develop competency tests, and coordinate ongoing education for staff.

You will partner with PAS leadership to align teaching with performance metrics and process improvements, including LEAN concepts, to optimize registration workflows and ensure high-quality patient access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health services administration or business-related field required.
• Five years’ leadership experience specific to discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Supports Patient Access Services by performing various registration related functions and provides training and support of staff.
• Promotes a team-oriented leadership role, develops and coordinates continuing education programs, and trains new hires.
• Develops and administers competency tests for new hires and existing staff; educates staff on changes in their work.
• Participates in PAS System Education Committee to develop educational objectives and annual skills/competencies.
• Measures staff quality and productivity, enforces performance expectations, and consults with management on staffing.
• Assists with process redesign and interdepartmental problem solving; coordinates staffing and daily workflow.
• Develops agendas, conducts staff meetings, and supports hiring for vacancies; collaborates with Revenue Cycle to ensure accurate billing.
