Job summary

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant Coordinator/Instructor to lead non-credit healthcare training across multiple sites in Central Virginia. The role focuses on curriculum development for Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, and related programs.

You will teach in classroom, lab, online, and field settings, coordinate adjunct faculty, and ensure program quality and outcomes for students pursuing healthcare credentials.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare training and development for entry to mid-level positions.
• Experience with clinical placements and healthcare employer partnerships.
• Knowledge of adult training methods, curriculum design and evaluation methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population of trainees, faculty, staff and partners.
• Demonstrated ability to present professionally to employers and workforce partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver non-credit workforce and certification training programs for entry- to mid-level healthcare careers.
• Lead development and updating of the healthcare Education Programs related to Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, and other trainings.
• Provide classroom, laboratory, work-based learning and online instruction at Reynolds, Brightpoint CC locations and partner sites.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of certification programs and maintain equipment.
• Mentor and evaluate adjunct instructors to ensure instructional quality and program effectiveness.
