CCWA’s primary mission is to provide quality workforce training solutions throughout the Greater Richmond region. In support of this mission, the Clinical Medical Assistant Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for coordinating and delivering non-credit workforce and certification training programs that prepare students for entry- to mid-level nursing and healthcare careers and lead to industry-recognized credentials. The Clinical Medical Assistant Coordinator/Instructor will establish, maintain, and continuously improve the healthcare Education Programs related to Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, and other assigned training programs. The instructor will provide classroom, laboratory, work-based learning, and online instruction at Reynolds and Brightpoint Community College locations, as well as at employer and workforce partner sites throughout Central Virginia. Responsibilities include developing and updating curriculum, conducting quality assurance reviews of certification programs, maintaining classroom and laboratory equipment, and serving as the subject matter expert for curriculum and program content during employer and partner meetings. The instructor will also coordinate, mentor, and evaluate adjunct instructors to ensure instructional quality and program effectiveness. The successful candidate must be able to effectively teach and facilitate learning in healthcare laboratory, classroom, clinical, and online environments.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
