Job summary

Reynolds Community College is seeking an Assistant Coordinator and Instructor, Healthcare to manage and deliver non-credit healthcare training across multiple sites in Central Virginia. The role includes coordinating curriculum, supervising adjunct instructors, and enhancing credential programs for career pathways in Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, and EKG.

The position emphasizes classroom, lab, and online instruction with potential evening/weekend hours to meet scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in healthcare or education field.
• Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential.
• Two or more years of recent clinical experience within the previous five years.
• At least one year of supervisory and instructional experience.
• Knowledge of adult training methods and curriculum design.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver non-credit workforce and certification training programs.
• Establish, maintain, and improve healthcare education programs related to Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, and other training.
• Provide classroom, laboratory, work-based learning, and online instruction at Reynolds and partner locations.
• Develop and update curriculum; conduct quality assurance reviews of certification programs.
• Mentor and evaluate adjunct instructors to ensure instructional quality.
