Job summary

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College seeks an Assistant Coordinator and Instructor for the Nurse Aide Program.

The role requires coordinating non-credit healthcare training, delivering classroom, lab, clinical, and online instruction at multiple campus and partner sites, and leading curriculum development. The successful candidate will hold a BSN, an active Virginia RN license, and have experience in nurse aide training and adult education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia or multistate licensure privilege.
• Two years of RN experience within the previous five years with at least one year of direct client care or supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Knowledge of nurse aide training and development for entry to mid-level healthcare certification programs.
• Knowledge of adult training methods, curriculum design and evaluation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population of training participants, faculty, staff and partners.
• Ability to conduct professional presentations to employers and workforce partners.
• Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver non-credit workforce and certification training programs.
• Establish, maintain and improve the Nurse Aide Education Program and related healthcare training programs.
• Provide classroom, laboratory, clinical and online instruction at Reynolds and Brightpoint locations as well as partner sites.
• Develop and update curriculum; conduct quality assurance reviews of certification programs; maintain equipment.
• Mentor and evaluate adjunct instructors to ensure instructional quality and program effectiveness.
