Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Healthcare Industry experience for our CAAS practice, based in northern Minnesota offices including Brainerd MN and nearby locations, or Appleton, WI. You will lead GAAP accounting, budgeting, and financial planning while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with management to advise on financial objectives, oversee accounting staff, and interact with boards and investors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of Controller-level experience; healthcare industry favored.
• Experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and industry financials.
• Create internal control policies for budgeting and cash management.
• Direct financial planning and budgeting activities for the organization.
• Prepare financial information and statements for regulation.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment options.
• Monitor KPIs and financial staff performance.
• Advise management on financial objectives and actions.
• Present to boards and investors as needed.
