Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with Healthcare Industry experience to join our CAAS practice in Minnesota locations including Monticello, St. Cloud, Alexandria or Brainerd. You will lead GAAP accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting for client engagements while guiding internal controls and staff performance.

You will partner with leadership to mitigate risk, meet deadlines, and optimize financial processes. CPA is preferred but not required; travel is primarily local to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. CPA preferred but not required.
• 7+ years as a Controller or equivalent, healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop GAAP and internal control policies and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting, cash management, and accounting activities.
• Coordinate financial planning and procurements for the organization.
• Prepare financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Monitor KPIs and financial staff performance; implement improvements.
• Advise management on financial objectives and actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, and investors; prepare board materials.
