Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support healthcare construction projects on-site in Chicago, IL. You will work with senior project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver facilities on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role requires a 2-5 year background in healthcare construction project management, knowledge of relevant codes, and proficiency with MS Project and Primavera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2-5 years of healthcare construction project management experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and building codes (HIPAA, ADA, FGI Guidelines).
• Proficiency in project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare construction projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
• Monitor project progress and report on key metrics to senior management and clients.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support the management of project-related issues and change requests.
• Assist in the coordination of equipment and furniture procurement and installation.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and lessons learned for future projects.
