Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead healthcare design and construction projects in North Carolina. You will coordinate with contractors, PMs, and design consultants, ensuring schedule and budget adherence while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5+ years in healthcare construction project management, strong leadership, and the ability to read CAD drawings and blueprints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive responsible experience.
• 5+ years healthcare construction project management experience.
• Experience with Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA, or equivalent state agency) construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates pre-construction activities with Contractors, Project Managers, Design Consultants or other professionals in their field, reviewing conditions, schedule, budget and cost during contracting.
• Accurately manages multiple projects; coordinates, plans and evaluates work of subcontractors; site visits throughout project life cycle.
• Coordinates Owner, Architect and Contractor (OAC) meetings to provide information flow between OAC and Clinical/Operations staff.
• Maintains complete project files for internal, local, state, and federal regulatory compliance and audit needs; updates budget tracking forms.
• Reads drawings and specifications; interfaces with contractors and hospital staff on utility interruptions, traffic control, and safety including infection control and plan changes.
• Manages documentation and retention of plans, contracts, change directives, and communications with hospital personnel, contractors, and architects.
• Handles close out and commissioning of the building including OEM, staff training, as-built drawings, warranties, and compliance with contracts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
