Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Gastroenterology practice in Florence, MA is seeking a friendly, organized Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role focuses on managing high volumes of patient and caller phone calls and providing superb customer service in a busy clinical office.

You will assist with scheduling, check-in/out, front desk duties when cross-trained, and support routine clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Office experience preferred; candidates with strong customer service experience are encouraged to apply.
• Certified Medical Administrative Assistant certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Answer phone calls, respond to routine inquiries, and take clear messages.
• Schedule, check in, and check out patients for appointments.
• Manage a high volume of incoming phone calls while maintaining a professional, helpful, and patient-focused approach.
• Maintain appointment records and support patient flow throughout the practice.
• File, scan, print, and manage documents related to patient care and office operations.
• Support routine clerical and administrative tasks such as forms, records, schedules, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with team members to help ensure the practice runs smoothly each day.
