Job summary

Elm Terrace Gardens is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community seeking an experienced Billing Office Manager to oversee all accounting functions for long-term care operations. You will supervise payroll, accounts receivable/payable, billing, insurance payments and census, reporting directly to the CEO.

The role requires independent judgment, strong organizational and analytical skills, and proficiency with accounting software and MS Office. Prior experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to act independently and make decisions of financial importance.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; good written and verbal communication.
• Experience with bookkeeping and financial statements; familiarity with automated financial software.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable processing and posting receipts to the general ledger.
• Reconciliation of company credit cards and daily cash deposits.
• Maximizing cash flow through efficient billing and collection processes.
• Private pay billing to residents and all collections activity.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare related reports.
• Handle insurance payments including Medicare and act as primary contact with state.
• Process provider/subscriber billing and respond to residents' inquiries.
