Job summary

The Elmhurst Healthcare is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee billing, collections and all business office tasks in our skilled nursing facility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role drives financial performance, supports staff development, and maintains strong relationships with Medicaid, private pay and managed care partners, with pay up to $40.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, healthcare administration or business management preferred or a high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of basic accounting principles and agency reimbursement programs.
• Healthcare billing experience in long term care setting, required.
• Supervisory experience, preferred.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Performs and oversees all billing and collecting tasks for Private Pay, Medicaid, Hospice and Managed Care.
• Reviews, analyzes and interprets financial data to monitor progress toward goals and improve efficiencies.
• Participates in development and implementation of plans of improvement as indicated by supervisors or auditors.
• Provides training to business office employees to successful job performance and cross-functional awareness.
• Maintains open communications with internal/external customers and liaisons to improve business office performance.
