Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support new construction and expansion initiatives across healthcare facilities, focusing on application and technology workstreams to open new facilities. This role does not manage physical construction or infrastructure PM tasks; it coordinates across 30+ applications, clinical and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead application-focused projects for new healthcare facility construction and expansion.
• Drive project execution to meet timelines, milestones, and budget objectives.
• Coordinate activities across 30+ applications, clinical, and technology teams.
• Manage project plans, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Utilize PMO and PMI-based methodologies to track progress and reporting.
• Develop and maintain key project documentation (RACI, Communication Plans, Test Plans, Schedules).
• Create and manage project budgets and resource plans.
• Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Hold project teams accountable for deliverables and target dates.
• Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation and resolution strategies.
• Provide regular status updates to portfolio leaders, tower leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage related sub-projects and additional assignments as needed.

Job Title: Project Manager - Construction (Applications & New Build Projects)

Location: 100% Remote (US)

Duration: 6 Months

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support new construction and expansion initiatives across healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical office buildings, clinics, and unit expansions.

This role is focused on the application and technology workstreams required to open new facilities, including application builds, system implementations, and operational readiness activities. The Project Manager will not manage physical construction activities and is not an Infrastructure PM role.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex application deployments associated with healthcare construction projects and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure all technology solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead application-focused projects supporting new healthcare facility construction and expansion initiatives.
• Drive project execution to meet aggressive timelines, milestones, and budget objectives.
• Coordinate activities across 30+ applications, clinical, and technology teams.
• Manage project plans, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Utilize ServiceNow PPM, Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive), and other project management tools to track progress and reporting.
• Follow established PMO and PMI-based project management methodologies.
• Develop and maintain key project documentation, including:
• RACI Matrices
• Communication Plans
• Test Plans
• Integrated Project Schedules
• Create and manage project budgets and resource plans.
• Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure timely follow-up.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of healthcare industry experience.
• Hands-on experience managing application builds and deployments for new healthcare facilities, including:
• Experience supporting Cerner implementation projects.
• Experience supporting technology readiness activities associated with construction projects.
• Experience managing projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholder groups.
• Experience working within healthcare, regulatory, clinical, or enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent Project Management certification.
