Job summary

PACS Group in Tennessee is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage the admissions process and help meet census goals. The role requires coordinating with the nursing team and case managers to assure proper intake and bed availability.

You will screen applicants, collect medical and financial information, and educate referral sources about facility services. A high school diploma is required; a healthcare degree and LVN/RN license are preferred; admissions experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• A Bachelor's Degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Two years' Admissions experience preferred.
• LVN or RN license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families and supporting staff.
• Plan, direct and monitor the daily operations of the Admissions Department to meet census goals.
• Admit patients to the health care facility and screen them against admission criteria.
• Coordinate with Director of Nursing/Case Manager to assure appropriateness of admissions, bed availability and records.
