Job summary

This role helps monitor and order supplies, promptly answer patient call lights, and elevate patient needs to nursing staff.

You will assist with managing orders in the electronic health record (EHR), communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and keyboarding skills.
• Completion of HUC program or HUC Certification preferred.
• One year medical environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and EHR/EPIC preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Flexible with schedule including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units.
• Monitor and order supplies, answer call lights, and escalate patient needs.
• Assist care team with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicate with patients, visitors and staff across the continuum of care.
• Support continuous improvement activities and demonstrate good judgment.
