Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Health Unit Coordinator program or comparable experience (preferred).
• Current CHUC certification (preferred).
• CNA on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry (preferred).
• 12 college credits or HS diploma with Nursing Assistant training (preferred).
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Multitask, work well under pressure and meet deadlines; strong organizational, communication, writing and listening skills.
• Work effectively in a team setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Flexibility to work days/evenings/nights/holidays/weekends.
• Self-directed and adaptable to unpredictable situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the healthcare team.
• Monitor and order supplies; assist with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff.
• Serve as a resource to the healthcare team and use Mayo Clinic resources.
• Support the care delivery model and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Assist staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under supervision.
