Job summary

Central Health is seeking a Health Services Coordinator - Specialist to manage referrals and support patient scheduling within the Navigation Center. This role requires coordinating with Central Health Network providers and handling administrative duties related to referrals, benefits verification, and insurance authorizations.

The position will require at least 50% on-site work in the Navigation Center, with responsibilities spanning call handling, pre-registration, and patient communications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of direct healthcare, medical office and/or healthcare call center experience.
• 1 year of scheduling, registration, referrals, and/or billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outbound calls to schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for contracted network partners.
• Perform off-phone tasks such as document scanning, organizing electronic records, and data entry for pre-registration.
• Assist patients with MyChart, benefits, and basic clinic information; communicate with referral sources.
• Schedule and arrange transportation for eligible patients and coordinate with network partners.
• Maintain confidentiality of PHI and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
