Job summary

Broward College seeks a Health Science Pathway Retention Specialist to provide direct student support and engage Health Science Pathway participants in academic and career planning. Under supervision, you will connect students with resources, monitor progression, and coordinate workshops to boost retention.

This temporary, 2-year program position focuses on supporting nursing/ Allied Health students with a case-management approach and will be evaluated annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Eight years of relevant experience.
• Experience with student support and retention programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides support services for students to promote retention and academic success.
• Reviews academic progression for Allied Health or Nursing students and engages classes term-by-term.
• Connects students with available resources, serving as a liaison to campus services.
• Collects, evaluates, and maintains student data to ensure students stay on track.
• Coordinates delivery of student success workshops and promotes them to students.
