Qualifications

• Experience with diverse student populations in higher education.
• Familiarity with university policies, protocols and databases.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; professional and confidential.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and coordination for students and families considering health leave of absence.
• Coordinates with faculty and departments to plan health leave and return.
• Assesss appropriateness of health leave requests on an individual basis and determine return conditions.
• Collaborates with academic units and advisors on health leave plans for successful return.
• Assists in developing comprehensive Health Leave Plans and coordinates with providers and partners.
• Monitors treatment plan compliance and university expectations; maintains student contact as needed.
• Maintains records and supports annual health leave reports.
• Coordinates with campus departments to assist students benefiting from a health leave; advocates for best options.
