Job summary

The University of Vermont is seeking an IT support specialist to provide technical support and analysis for the CHWB Electronic Health Record system, desktop devices, medical devices, peripherals, and related software systems.

Collaborate with the CHWB IT team to triage requests, prioritize projects, and ensure secure, reliable access to system information that enhances the quality of care and resource efficiency for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or related field, and three years of related experience.
• Experience in desktop hardware, application and website support.
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments, SQL, data analysis, data transmission methods, Windows and IOS platforms, and general web technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and perform analysis related to implementation, operation, and ongoing enhancement of the CHWB EHR system, personal computing devices, medical devices, peripheral hardware, and other related software systems.
• Collaborate with the CHWB IT team to continuously assess and prioritize service requests and IT projects, providing exceptional customer service and follow-through.
• Participate in department risk assessments, security audits and system reviews of security controls.
• Work effectively with administrators, clinicians, students, and other staff to optimize the value of the EHR in clinical work and in accessing system information for the purpose of optimizing the quality of care and the efficient use of resources.
• Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive Center for Health and Wellbeing for all students and staff.
