Job summary

Howard Center is seeking a Clinical Information Systems Specialist to optimize the EHR and related clinical systems in a Burlington, VT setting. The role collaborates with programs, leadership, and IS to deliver user support, reports, forms, and workflow improvements that enhance patient care while meeting regulatory requirements.

The position also provides user training, coordinates testing, and serves as a liaison between clinical and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Participation in the design / implementation of an EHR system in a mental health organization.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Derive quality measures and benchmarks; present findings to forums to guide operations.
• Act as a functional expert for the EHR system and support IT Helpdesk / staff.
• Evaluate clinical documents to define best practices and ensure compliance.
• Lead workflow testing; design training plans and conduct trainings with IT Training staff.
• Improve workflows and reports through changes in clinical processes and systems.
