The New York State Department of Health seeks a Project Assistant to coordinate system analysis, design, and development for HR1 initiatives. The role provides direction to state teams and coordinates activities with the systems integrator’s staff to ensure timely implementation across environments.

Responsibilities include aligning with business stakeholders on strategic planning, managing risks and issues, maintaining service levels, budgeting, and providing ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years in information technology project management, healthcare systems operations, systems integration, or Medicaid/health insurance exchange admin.
• 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience with oversight of system design, development, implementation, compliance monitoring, vendor management, and enterprise technical operations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee development of project work plans and revise to meet changing needs.
• Develop and maintain detailed plans for major areas of responsibility.
• Oversee resource allocation and schedules for project implementation.
• Report regularly to agency executives and senior management on HR1 initiatives.
• Present project information to stakeholders, peers, and upper management.
• Measure system effectiveness via SLAs, QA, health checks, and customer surveys.
