Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks an experienced IT systems consultant to guide complex data processing projects and design robust information systems for a large public health network. The role emphasizes feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and inter-system interoperability with enterprise-level oversight.

You will contribute to the planning and operation of the MIS Center and Network Services, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable solutions across hospital facilities and remote sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Data Communications, or related).
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in data processing, computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert consultant and advisor on complex data processing problems and design of computer-based information systems.
• Participates in feasibility analyses, cost/benefit assessments, and system integration planning.
• Oversees MIS Computer Center operations and 24/7 availability.
• In Network Services, supports remote site prep and center operations to resolve complex problems.
• Recommends standards and procedures for uniform data communications methods and interfaces.
