Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking Health Education Assistants to manage daily operations of the Health Education Center and its programs. You will assist members, physicians, staff, instructors, and community members with health education resources and online tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year full-time or two years part-time experience in Health Education or customer service in health care.
• Associates degree in Health Sciences or related field required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in health care related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to support health promotion and priorities.
• Assess patients' needs and refer to appropriate health education resources.
• Manage referrals, book and register patients for resources and services.
• Respond to member requests and answer department calls.
• Conduct basic non-clinical presentations on health education resources.
• Support clinical initiatives and center operations.
• Coordinate class logistics, reminders, and promo materials.
• Assist with scheduling, rooming, and KPI booking system entries.
• Register and recover registrations for classes and appointments.
