The MA role emphasizes collecting patient data, education, safety, and documentation to support care plans, ensuring an exceptional patient experience and adherence to KFHPW standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program prior to start date/transfer or equivalent military experience with ability to obtain MA-I prior to start date.
• Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) required at hire or Interim Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) required at hire.
• Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• If hired as MA-I, must obtain MA-C prior to the expiration of the MA-I credential.

Responsabilités

• Collect data about health status, vital signs, and patient concerns; document in the medical record.
• Communicate with the patient and health team to coordinate care and educate the patient and family.
• Provide patient education aligned with the nursing plan of care and preventive health information.
• Document patient history and procedures in adherence with KFHPW standards and maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in staff orientation and performance reviews and align with dress code policy.
