Job summary

The Providence Community Health Centers, Inc. seeks a Senior Health Center Assistant to lead PSR and HCA staff and serve as the EMR super user. The role includes training new employees and updating staff on policies, processes, and programs.

Responsibilities include supervising front desk operations, coordinating schedules, and mentoring team members while ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate charting. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program with 3+ years experience as PSR/HA/HCA in front desk and patient care.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification required.
• Experience training/mentoring others and leading staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as team leader to PSR and HCA staff and act as EMR super user.
• Coordinate daily duties of Front Desk Staff and monitor workload and schedules.
• Oversee orientation/training of new staff and update on new policies and procedures.
• Assist providers in caring for patients and record vital signs, labs, and referrals.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance of computer equipment and office machines.
