Qualifications

• High school diploma (business course) or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant program with 180-hour internship required.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification required.
• Ability to perform responsibilities across life cycle (infants to geriatric) required.
• Clear diction and unhampered conversational skills for a multicultural patient community.
• Computer literacy required; familiarity with Physician Computer Network preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist MDs/NPs/RNs caring for patients across age groups, including taking/recording vitals and documenting procedures.
• Answer calls, schedule patients, verify identity, maintain provider schedules, and handle payments and data entry.
• Insert patient-related materials and maintain care/compliance logs.
• Provide general clerical support, including filing, calls routing, and data reporting.
