Job summary

Wolters Kluwer Health is seeking a product-minded Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with strategic customers and WK teams. You will translate customer problems into measurable outcomes, build prototypes using WK Health platforms, and validate impact while ensuring safety, security, and scalable design.

This role emphasizes practice-based learning, AI-enabled workflows, and collaboration across clinical, security, and product teams to drive adoption and reusable platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in software engineering or related roles.
• Production-quality software experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Healthcare tech experience across clinical workflows and integrations (HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks, RxNorm, SNOMED, etc).
• Modern delivery with AI/GenAI, LLMs, or responsible AI governance.
• Ability to turn problems into requirements and working software.
• Comfort collaborating across product, technology, commercial, clinical, security and customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Discover and frame outcomes with customers, executives, clinicians, and IT teams.
• Design, code, integrate, test, and deploy prototypes using WK assets and AI capabilities.
• Apply healthcare integration patterns and secure SDLC practices.
• Make field patterns reusable as APIs, connectors, and templates.
• Navigate responsibilities with governance, safety, and auditability in mind.
