Job summary

Wolters Kluwer Health is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our health platform team. This product-minded, hands-on engineer collaborates with strategic customers to uncover high-value problems, validate impact, and turn patterns into scalable capabilities for the WK Health portfolio.

The role emphasizes building prototypes, applying AI-enabled workflows, and ensuring safety, governance, and long-term maintainability while partnering with Product and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, biomedical informatics, data science, health informatics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in software engineering, customer-facing engineering, solution architecture, or related product technology roles.
• Production-quality software experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Healthcare tech experience across clinical workflows, EHR/payer/pharmacy systems, data platforms, or digital health.
• Modern software delivery with AI/GenAI, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, or responsible AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Discover and frame customer outcomes by understanding workflows, constraints, and adoption barriers.
• Translate needs into outcome hypotheses, use cases, success metrics, and prototypes anchored in customer value.
• Build, integrate, and validate prototypes and product extensions using WK Health assets, data, and AI capabilities.
• Design reusable patterns into APIs, connectors, reference architectures, templates, and playbooks.
