Job summary

Aon is seeking an experienced actuary to lead strategy and actuarial consulting for healthcare clients in the United States. You will focus on benefit strategy, pricing, budgeting, and bid/selection projects while taking ownership of client outcomes and mentoring junior staff.

You will guide cross-functional teams, explain methodologies to clients, participate in strategic discussions, and help drive process improvements across jumbo client engagements.

Qualifications

• ASA Designation (Or Close).
• 4+ years of health care industry experience (carrier or consulting).
• Project management experience.
• People management/mentoring experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform strategy and actuarial consulting on benefit strategy, goal setting, benchmarking, plan design, pricing strategy, budgeting and bid projects.
• Provide actuarial client leadership focusing on broader business objectives and client outcomes.
• Lead client teams, coach and mentor team members, and coordinate with other actuarial staff.
• Explain actuarial methodology and results to clients and discuss potential alternatives.
• Participate in strategic discussions with clients and drive process improvements.
