Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership seeks a Head Start Preschool Center Aide for its Head East location in Idaho Falls. You will work with lead teachers to deliver an engaging, age-appropriate program for children aged three to five.

The role emphasizes safety, exploration, and holistic development in a nurturing daycare-like setting. In addition to hands-on learning support, you’ll help with materials, center setup, and collaborative planning through staff meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential obtainable within 12 months with employer support.
• Experience with children aged 3–5 is valued.
• Completion of a physical exam and background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher to design age-appropriate curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Prepare learning materials and set up centers for exploration.
• Engage children in educational play and activities.
• Support healthy eating habits during mealtimes.
• Maintain an organized, clean classroom and participate in meetings.
