The Lourie Center Head Start, part of Adventist HealthCare, is hiring an experienced Head Start Teacher II to join our mission of physical, mental, and spiritual healing in a federally funded, community-based program serving families with children from birth to five and those with disabilities.

As Head Start Lead Teacher, you will create a safe learning environment, support emotional development, analyze data to guide curriculum, implement developmentally appropriate instruction, and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
• 3 years of direct experience with children in an approved setting.
• valid driver’s license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, healthy learning environment for children.
• Provide emotional support and encourage child expression and autonomy.
• Analyze assessment data to guide curriculum and planning.
• Deliver curriculum using varied modalities for developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Maintain accurate records for assessments, screenings and conferencing.
• Apply behavior management strategies and provide positive guidance.
• Participate in trainings and coaching to support professional development.
