Zusammenfassung

Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties is seeking an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher to oversee a developmentally appropriate program for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years in our Early Head Start program.

You will observe and document children’s development, build strong partnerships with families, supervise classroom staff, and mentor team members to ensure high-quality early education.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of an Infant Toddler CDA or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• At least one year of experience working with young children and their families in a child care or related setting required.
• Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language and communication skills required.
• Sensitivity to the experiences, needs, and strengths of low-income and diverse populations, and individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to take initiative to continually improve service.
• Knowledge of curriculum, principles and best practices of early childhood education.
• Ability to work independently and with interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared program goals.
• Commitment to building relationships with staff and families.

Aufgaben

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate education program for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years that will enhance development.
• Observe, assess and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, growth and development.
• Develop effective partnerships with parents/caregivers by regularly sharing information and encouraging input.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of classroom staff, including Associate Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
• Develop individualized goals and educational plans for each child.
• Foster positive relationships with all children in the classroom.
• Provide training and mentoring to staff.
